Consulting Success is About Setting Goals and Overcoming Obstacles
I’ve been doing a lot of thinking about next year and what I intend to do with both TVCNet and my consulting business. Most of this forward thinking is based on reflections and observations I made about this past year – what worked for me and what didn’t work.
Over the weekend I read a great quote which said, “You don’t find books, books find you.” That’s very true and it even applies to blog posts and articles. I found two that speaks to looking ahead as I plan out my marketing strategies for 2010:
If you don’t set goals for yourself and your business you’re really nothing more than another boat at sea drifting along with the current. Setting goals is one thing, but working to achieve those goals is another. If you fail to meet your goals, what are you doing to identify your obstacles to reaching those goals?
Find the root cause to that obstacle that’s getting in the way of your success and commit to removing that obstacle. Only then will you be able to break away and start moving toward the goals you set for yourself.
